Video Archives
Theses clips are examples of very old raw video footage captured on Hi-8 tape, digitally transferred and edited with professional non-linear software.
After all those years the memories are as vivid as the day they were captured. But, as you can see, the quality of the old analog video pales in comparison to HD digital technology. So what will become of all those home movies stored on analog VHS tape? We have a solution.

Tips on Choosing a Videographer
Choosing the right videographer is important. Here are a few ideas to consider:
Do your research. Compare the work of several videographers before making a choice. But do not make your decision based on price alone. Just because someone charges more for his services, does not mean the product he delivers will be the highest quality.
Once you have chosen, be sure to book your videographer as far in advance as possible for the following reasons: (1) to ensure the date and time are available; (2) to lock in the price. Make sure the contract you sign is perfectly clear as to your responsibilities and obligations, as well as those of the videographer you are hiring.
Prices increase as technology changes and equipment is upgraded. Locking in a rate early will give you the advantage of new technology and equipment without the increased cost.
You will observe from your research that wedding video packages vary in price, depending upon the skill, knowledge and expertise of the videographer. Normally you can expect to pay between $1,000 and $5,000 for your finished video product. Again, do not make your decision based upon price alone. Decide what you want in your wedding video package and how much you are willing to spend. Afterall, they are your memories of your "special day."
Another consideration is the kind of equipment being used. Professional 3-chip digital cameras offer the highest quality resolution. The acquired video can be directly transferred to non-linear editing systems with virtually no loss of quality. Wireless microphones are used by professional videographers to ensure optimum audio quality and clarity.
Experience and training separate amateurs from professional videographers. Simply being a member of a trade association does not make one a good videographer. However, that is often a good place to start. Check to see if the candidate is a member of the International Wedding and Event Videographers Association, or a similar local organization. Trade associations offer continued training and support to its members.
Arrange to meet the candidates in person. You will immediately discover if they are compatible with your style and personality.
Research will make choosing the right videographer a lot easier. It is more important that you feel comfortable with the professional you have chosen, than merely choosing one for superficial reasons.
